Emerging Voices: Writers Published by Groundbreaking Independent Presses

"Established in 2005, BELLEVUE LITERARY PRESS has forged a unique publishing path, championing books at the intersection of the arts and sciences by encouraging writers to explore relationships to the human body, illness, health, and healing in their work. Erika Goldman, editorial director of the press will talk about the uses of illness in fiction with writers: Michelle Latiolais (A Proper Knowledge -"elegant and engaging"); Paula Nangle (The Leper Compound -"a beautiful and complex work"-LA Times); and Paul Harding (Tinkers -"remarkable") who will also read from their work."
